Fort Clinch Photos, part uno.

Here's a couple pictures from last weekend's camping trip at Fort Clinch State Park. Even though we ran out of firewood, forgot our lamp, brought the air mattress (I know we are so spoiled, sorry dad! Don't be too disappointed in me) that had the hole in it, we made enemies with a few rocks and I had a little panic attack as I thought a gang of raccoons were going to steal our food. It was one of the best trips of my life. I love my boyfriend, thank you for everything. More pictures coming soon! Enjoy.

Musical Monday!

Hello readers! It has been a CRAZY weekend. Camping, visiting back home, then to Orlando for Universal Studio's Halloween Horror Nights, more camping and finally back home in Jacksonville. Even though class and work wasn't in my agenda today, it was filled with cleaning the kitchen, doing piles of laundry and crossing things off my to-do list. My little mini vacation with Matt flew by way too fast. I hate how time does that. Here's a song by one of my favorite artist, K'naan. This song is gaurenteed to make Matt and me dance everytime it comes on my ipod in the car, I hope you enjoy it! If not, or you have any songs you think we would enjoy let us know!

Kayaking!

After three tries, Matthew and I made it to kayaking. I love kayaking, it's so nice to just get out in nature and relax and de-stress. Oh and your having a lot of fun, while working out your arms! If you ever find yourself visiting Florida, I highly suggest putting kayaking on your to-do list. If your in North Florida, by Jacksonville I suggest you go to Kayak Amelia. They are super nice, our first attempt to go kayaking was shot down because of a approaching storm, Matthew and I were willing to go out anyways (how crazy are we!) but the lovely workers at Kayak Amelia wouldn't allow us. They were right, I suppose. Water+lightening+holding big metal rods in our hands probably wouldn't have been the best idea. Oh and they have these awesome water-proof camera for sale. I really liked the affect they had on our pictures. Well Enjoy!

Currently,

Here are just a few things, that are currently making me happy at the moment.

little faces Matt and I drew on our hands, during a very boring lecture. We ended up laughing way to loud, having way to much fun with our little hand people.

Matt being goofy in a local costume store. We basically counted down the days until it opened again. This year, he's thinking of being a spartan, and me of course, to be his Greek goddess. I think he just wants to run around and yell "WE ARE SPARTAN!" with a cape and shield, oh and lets not forget about the cool helmet (;

Cheerful beautiful daisy's Matt surprised me with, after a long day at work.

I am now, a saucy red head!

I love him.

So, Matt's beard could use a little trimming. But, he refuses to part with it, not even a little!

Musical Monday!

Here's a fun tune to help you get through the start of a long week. Especially if your recovering from a that- was-way-too-much-fun, lets do it again! Weekend. Hopefully this will also give you a little pep in your step! This fun little tune, is called "We are young" from a ablum that won't be out until 2012 (booooo) by a band with a name that suits them just right, Fun. The lead singer of this band, Nate Ruess had a band named "The Format" at one point they were my absoulte favoriteeee band! When I heard they broke up and his new band, Fun, was formed well I wasn't the happiest person about it. Until a friend showed me this new song, and my opinion may or may have not been swayed. Enjoy!

Letters to home.

Let's begin this post with a apology, for rarely posting anything new, I really do love this little blog and I want to see it grow, but Matthew and I have been incredibility busy! With our jobs, school, photography. We did our first photo shoot yesterday! My dear friend Alyssa and her cute little family. Everything from Octobers beautiful weather, to the beach we were on, was just perfect. I love Florida best in the months of October and November. I love leaving the windows open all day, coming home to my apartment smelling crisp and clean. (I don't suggest this for everybody, we live in the third floor so I feel pretty safe about leaving the windows open when I'm not home) not having to turn on the a.c (yes to saving on electricity!) the leaf's changing. Being able to wear jeans and scarfs. I'm looking forward to all the festivities coming up. I promise little blog I will put more effort into you. Anyways so my sisters are both re-modeling their homes, and asked for updated pictures of me, so here you go! Pictures, and a little personal note attached with it. The little attachments on/in the photo frames both go with the theme of my sisters homes. Enjoy!

This was all purchased at Michaels.

Artsy Fartsy Friday

Matthew is in his last year of college(thank jesus! He does not handle stress well) at the University Of North Florida as a Photography Major. Well Photography isn't his only cup of tea, he's very talented in almost all aspect of art from painting, to drawing to cooking and yes, even rapping. He's going to read this and say "why do you tell people that?! I can't rap!" but seriously, he can. Here are a few photos from his last project, I love them so much. Every time he creates something new that I fall in love with, I don't see myself ever loving something more, until the next thing he creates. These are called cyanotypes, the bottom one was toned in sodium bicarbonate for a different effect. "I choose the subject matter because it evokes a timeless and mysterious feel and I like taking pictures of you"-Matthew. I hope you enjoy them!

Visiting back home.

                                                            Just outside the Marion Theater.

I never realized how cute my small hometown, Ocala, is until a recent trip back home to visit family, attend my mothers wedding and get mail that is still being sent to her house. Usually my trips back home are a combination of, seeing a few old friends if the chance is given, a big family dinner and some quality family time. I've brought Matthew home with me numerous times, but we've never adventured past my old neighborhood and maybe a grocery store here and there, so I was very excited that we had a few hours to kill before we had to be at my fathers for dinner. We happily spent it downtown. Here are just a few pictures we took, I hope you enjoy them. xoxo.
Great finds at Brothers Keepers, thrift store!
                                                                  Just like the movie cars!
